Black History IS YOUR History

This newsletter is published a little late because I had to take some time to clear My head, collect My thoughts and be certain that I express Myself with the eloquence and integrity that makes Me proud to be Me. The growing wave of racism, sexism, creepism requires those of Us who are conscious and conscientious to be very mindful of Who We Are and How We Want To Be.

And so… The latest offensive stupidity comes from a moron requesting MY HELP FOR FREE and simultaneously suggesting that My How-To’s Inspired By The Kwanzaa Tradition “can turn some people off because it’s too ethnic.” I kid you not; those are his exact words. This creature, along with the folks who tell Me to My beautiful, brown face that I’m “not ‘really’ Black,” are why the NEED for greater education about TRUTH exists to expand not only everyone’s cultural identity but intelligence. I referred that trumpass to My Latest Rules for MY DOMAIN.

So that it’s totally clear that American (and amerikkkan) history and present is BUILT upon the achievements and sacrifices of Black America despite the heinousness of slavery, Jim Crow, and trumpasses, this issue of My Newsletter is devoted to Black History month with facts to broaden your consciousness and clarity.

The more you know about YOUR history, the better you are in your present and future. AND maybe more people won’t say something racist and offensive from a place of total ignorance because YOU will have knowledge to share and be proud of, too. Each one teach one.

These opportunities are NOT limited to submissives. Dominants, switches, “whatevers” are encouraged to apply as long as you can respectfully pay attention and follow instructions. Whoopi Goldberg

Julia was an American sitcom notable for being one of the first weekly series to depict an African American woman in a non-stereotypical role. Previous television series featured African American lead characters, but the characters were usually servants. The show starred actress and singer Diahann Carroll, and ran for 86 episodes on NBC from September 17, 1968 to March 23, 1971. Also important to note is that inter-racial best-friendship of Julia’s son and her neighbors’.

A FEW Inventions by Black Americans

The 1968 Olympics Black Power Salute: African American athletes Tommie Smith and John Carlos raise their fists in a gesture of solidarity at the 1968 Olympic games. Australian Silver medalist Peter Norman wore an Olympic Project for Human Rights badge in support of their protest and returned home to Australia a pariah, suffering unofficial sanction and ridicule as the Black Power salute’s forgotten man. He never ran in the Olympics again. Both Americans were expelled from the Olympic games FOR LIFE as a result. CLICK THE IMAGE FOR ARTICLE.

Yasuke, the only Black Samurai ever recorded in written history

William Lewis Moore, a white postal worker from Maryland who walked to Mississippi to deliver a letter against segregation. Murdered 5 days before his birthday in 1963.

32 of the 400 Freedom Riders. From May until November 1961, more than 400 black and white Americans risked their lives—and many endured savage beatings and imprisonment—for simply traveling together on buses and trains as they journeyed through the Deep South. Deliberately violating Jim Crow laws in order to test and challenge a segregated interstate travel system, the Freedom Riders met with bitter racism and mob violence along the way, sorely testing their belief in nonviolent activism. An excellent movie features testimony from a fascinating cast of central characters: the Riders themselves, state and federal government officials, and journalists who witnessed the Rides firsthand. The two-hour documentary is based on Raymond Arsenault’s book Freedom Riders: 1961 and the Struggle for Racial Justice. Watch the Freedom Riders movie here.

Writer, activist and educator Dr. Angela Davis is best known as a radical African-American educator and activist for civil rights and other social issues. She knew about racial prejudice from her experiences with discrimination growing up in Alabama. Read more…

Bobby Seale is an African-American political activist and co-founder and national chairman of the Black Panther Party. While working at a War on Poverty program, he and co-founder, Huey P. Newton, wrote a ten-point program that outlined the outlook and goals of the BPP. The Ten-Point program demanded that blacks have the “power to determine the destiny of our Black Community.” Control of their own community would allow blacks to gain “land, bread, housing, education, clothing, justice and peace.”
